Jesse Jacklin - 1997 Buick Regal GS

Jesse bought his Regal as his first vehicle and has been enthusiastic about it from day one. He's enthusiastic about personalizing it as well; hungry for horsepower, a simply pulley swap and intake wouldn't do!
From being one of the first ZZP Powerlog owners in Canada, and being a test-bed for a prototype alcohol injection kit, Jesse soon had a full 3" mandrel bent exhaust with modified factory GTP muffler 3" in and out, ported supercharger, Northstar throttle body and Gen2FWI. A Redline Transmission fully rebuilt unit was also installed, with a high stall converter, shift kit and 3.69 gear ratio. Next, Jesse was a testbed for the Overkill BBC camshaft.
In February 2007, Jesse had us redo his motor with a fully rebuilt L36 bottom end block. The heads he ported himself with our supervision, while we finished off the small details and reground the factory valves, before sealing them up with Cometic head gaskets and ARP studs. The Overkill BBC cam remained with a JPP double roller chain, factory rockers/lifters/pushrods. An old prototype Overkill intercooler core was rescued from its shelf and now cools the boost from his ported M90, running 10psi off a 2.7 pulley. Pacesetter headers completed the exhaust upgrades.
Other modifications: MSR 17" wheels, Bridgestone Pole Position tires, Springtech lowering springs, upgraded brakes, blacked out headlights and taillights.
This October 2007 we finally got Jesse's car on the rollers. The vehicle produced 334 wheel horsepower in full street trim, with a best pull of 340 wheel horsepower with additional timing advance. This was on a 2.7" pulley, 17* of timing advance and 11.2-11.3AFR on the 334whp, 22* and 11.5AFR on the 340whp. Pulls were done with Sunoco 94 and one can of Torco in the tank, through full exhaust and the headlight out on the 340 run. Congradulations to you Jesse!
